Have you ever heard such a bird? I had not 'till about 3ish yesterday afternoon, I heard what I thought might be someone hiding in our woods making a whistling noise for such reason unknown, and it literally scared me to death! Luckily my dad stopped by for dinner, heard it and even found it in the yard across the street in the mulberry tree! He said he had not heard or seen one in over 30 years! Last summer he drove a quarter mile down our road and for the first time in his life, saw a black bear in the wild!
Well, this quail was still around this morning, sitting on the fence! Grabbed my camera and got some shots, not to mention about 4 feet away from it!
