On the eve of the first day of school, we played a last game of family kickball, sat outside till the moon came up, then ventured off to baths and bedtime. Bedtime came and all fell asleep well....
Ryder, the first to ride the big yellow bus.....
Then these smiling faces, including little miss sunshine who swore she was going to get on the yellow bus with them{mom was afraid she was going to and would have to yank her off screaming and crying, but.......
she later changed her mind when she saw it~thank goodness!

even Leif never looked back! 
Sawyer, my 3month old baby when we moved to Oley, has started Kindergarten! He is the last of the crew born in Allentown, my first homebirth, my best hugger as a baby, my sweet Sawyer! He even buckled himself in on the bus, no help needed at all! I am going to miss them, all of them!I wish all my children a wonderful, happy, first day of school!

Ah, school time. We have already been back for 2 1/2 weeks. Wish our district wasn't so early.
Those little ones WILL be on that bus before you know it.
The summer seemed to go so quickly this year!!
My chicklettes are off to school on the 8th. My youngest to 10th grade and my oldest... gulp... to college. Where did the time go??
